Rod Care
How you take care of your bamboo rod will determine its longevity. Avoid putting your bamboo rod in a rod roof rack. Leaving your bamboo rod, assembled, in a roof rack is very convenient, but the vibration and friction will remove the protective coating and allow water moisture to penetrate the bamboo which will cause the bamboo to rot. If you insist on using a rod roof rack, you’ll need to find a full-length SOFT rod sock for the assembled rod. Never leave your bamboo rod in a hot rod roof rack or car. Excess heat will warp your rod, melt the clear coat, and void your warrantee.

New Rod Warranty
1-year broken rod warranty
*One year, from the day of delivery, your split-cane rod is warrantied against breakage, under normal use. I will **replace the broken split-cane section and install the hardware from the broken split-cane rod section. Only one broken split-cane rod section will be replaced by the warranty. Any additional broken split-cane rod sections will be replaced at the buyer’s expense. Buyer pays one-way shipping.
* Damage caused by abuse (see rod care) will void the warranty.
** One rod section replacement per warranty. Breakage caused by defect will be replaced under the 5 year warranty.
Five-year warranty against defects
Five years, from the day of delivery, your slit-cane rod is warrantied against defect. The rod will be repaired or replaced (at the maker’s discretion). Defects include delamination of rod blanks, guide wraps, loose connection of ferrules to rod blanks, and hardware defects (guides, ferrules, handle, reel seat). Buyer pays one-way shipping.
